Today construction began on our landmark library and high-tech resource centre ‘The Learning Commons’ to be opened in 2017.
‘The Learning Commons’ will be a blended learning environment where students can switch between individual and group spaces with immediate access to the latest technology and information. ‘The Learning Commons’ will assist in preparing our students to move from the world of school to the world of adulthood.
‘The Learning Commons’ will provide students with access to information and technology out of regular school hours, with tutors on hand to help with homework and study. ‘The Commons’ will not only provide students with access to an array of information and technology, this innovative learning environment will have a world class assistant. NAO is a humanoid robot powered by a lithium battery and will enhance student learning by providing them the opportunity to interact with one of the latest education resources.
