From the Principal

Moama Anglican Grammar School is a co-educational Anglican secondary school that opened in 2005 with a Year 7 class, and now covers Years 5 to 11. The School will grow to Year 12 by 2010. Initially the School operated on a temporary site at the Community Hall, Martin Street Moama. The School moved to its permanent site on Kirchhofer Street, near the recreation reserve at the start of 2007.

The School’s mission statement expresses the School’s aims very clearly:

“Moama Anglican Grammar School sees its mission as caring for students and their families and preparing the students for the next phase of their lives so they can move forward with hope and confidence”.

The key features of the School are: passionate committed teachers; a safe learning environment; high expectations; shared goals and visions; and a recognition of students’ rights and responsibilities.

As Foundation Principal I am delighted by the staff I have been able to appoint and am confident that the staff and the School Board share a common purpose, which is to make Moama Anglican Grammar School the kind of school that students are proud to have attended.

Every child has the right to learn within an environment in which they feel safe. This is achieved through the development of a shared sense of the rights and responsibilities of every member of the School community towards each other.

Every child can learn and is to be encouraged to achieve his/her potential. At Moama Anglican Grammar School the educational program is designed with this aim in mind. Education is not limited to the classroom and a strong co-curricula program will be developed as the School grows. All students will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities and to develop their skills in their areas of particular interest.
