PADDOCK TO PLATE

This term in Agriculture my fellow students and I, under the guidance of Mr Weier, have been growing a variety of vegetables in our veggie patch.
These include corn, beans, beetroot, carrots and potatoes, just to name a few.
All of these products have been grown organically, which links in with the Food Technology class, as this class has recently been studying the difference between organic and non organic products.
The Agriculture class recently harvested all of its organic vegetables, and the Year 9/10 Agriculture and Food Technology classes joined together for a cooking lesson.
Under the guidance of Mrs Downie, the two classes cooked and tasted all of the organic vegetables that had been grown.
The afternoon worked well and it was a great opportunity for the classes to work together and eat the fresh and tasty organic vegetables that were grown at school.
