Education Minister goes to class

Today we were delighted to host, for the first time, Mr Adrian Piccoli our local Member and NSW State Minister for Education. Mr Piccoli toured the school and looked at the progress of the significant construction works currently works underway. Some Year 12 students enjoyed discussing their studies and current educational topics with Mr Piccoli.

Mr Piccoli joined the Year 10 Italian class in exploring their upcoming Italy trip destinations, sharing his own stories of places he had visited in Italy and the class treated Mr Piccoli to their rendition of Il ragazzo della via gluck by Adriano Celentano (1966).

Mr Piccoli then joined the Year 11 Food Technology class in creating chocolate decorations as part of their current unit of work “Food Styling”. He also sampled some of the creations and food created by the Year 3 and 4 students in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program.
