Four of our Year 6 students represented our School at the Science Talent Search in August. This was the first year students from our school had competed and it was a fantastic accomplishment for the girls to be included.
Jamison McFadden and Lauren O’Dea entered the photography category, with Jamison focusing on Newtons Law of Motion and Lauren focusing on cooking chemistry.
Elizabeth Galeti and Ella Carriero also competed, however they entered in the games division. Both girls have designed a game about the periodic table that is designed to assist students learn about the elements.
For our first students entering we are extremely proud of their efforts, Lauren, Elizabeth and Ella each received a award for participation and Jamison was awarded a merit. Congratulations girls! We look forward to next year’s Year 6 students taking part in the Science Talent Search.
