Today our Year 4 students participated in a session with Doug Dragster creator Ivan Honey from the Get Happier Project. The students have been looking at the Amazing Adventures of Doug Dragster as part of their Pastoral Care Program. The Doug Dragster program provides a fun way of learning about behaviour.
The Get Happier Project Framework lets students explore the metaphor of ‘life’s journey’, the roads we travel and the vehicles we choose (our behaviours) to get the best out of our lives and reach our destination (our goals and plans for the future). Today the students explored these as Doug Dragster with the four wheels; thinking, feeling, acting, body and the parts of the engine; power, love, freedom, fun and survival.
Ask a child in Year 4 what they learnt about today! Visit the Get Happier Project to find out more!
