From Monday 28 September 28 to Thursday 1 October, a batch of NSW/ACT’s most promising under 13 and 14 players linked to the Swans or GIANTS’ Academies took part in the annual Joss State Zone Trials in Albury
MAGS students Callum Doyle, Cooper Wallace and Nicholas Couroupis were selected as part of the Under 14 Murray side.
For many it was their first chance to be involved in the AFL NSW/ACT Joss Talent Program, providing them elite experiences and a potential stepping stone toward an AFL career.
The trials were an opportunity for players to demonstrate their abilities and heighten their development with unlimited access to key personnel for feedback and instruction.
Supported by experienced staff and coaches, the AFL NSW/ACT Joss Talent Program has spawned a host of household names who have gone on to impress at the highest level, highlighted most recently by boom Sydney Swans recruit Isaac Heeney, who featured at the Joss trials some six years ago.
