Early Years Learning at Moama Anglican Grammar
Moama Anglican Grammar’s Early Learning Centre (ELC) is opening in 2027 at our Kirchhofer Street Campus and will provide a purpose‑built, nurturing environment where our Preschool learners feel safe, valued, and supported. Through a warm and inclusive approach, our dedicated educators will partner with families to honour each child’s individuality, while fostering curiosity, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework V2.0, our Preschool programs will support the development of essential social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills, alongside early literacy and numeracy, laying strong foundations for a smooth and positive transition into primary school.
3 Year Old Program – 2 days per week
Our 3 Year Old Preschool program will offer children opportunities to learn through play, intentional learning experiences, and meaningful interactions. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, children are seen as capable and curious learners, with learning environments thoughtfully designed to reflect their interests and needs. Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework V2.0 (EYLF), our educators will create engaging experiences that support inquiry, creativity, and collaboration. The program will respond to each child’s individual development, building on their strengths and gently challenging their skills. We will provide a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports children to become confident, capable learners which builds a strong foundation for future learning.
4 Year Old Program – 2 days or 4 days per week
Our 4 Year Old Preschool program is for children preparing to begin Kindergarten (school) the following year. It will support a smooth transition from Preschool, with a strong focus on building social and emotional wellbeing alongside key early literacy and numeracy skills. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, the program will encourage inquiry, play, and exploration, recognising children as capable and active learners. Educators will work alongside children as co-learners, observing, listening, and responding to their interests, and collaborating with them to co-construct meaningful learning experiences. Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework V2.0 (EYLF), and supported by small class sizes, a purpose-designed environment, and access to specialist facilities, children will also participate in regular specialist classes with Primary School teachers. This will support their growth in confidence, develop a strong sense of belonging, and build readiness for Primary School.
