Our biannual Italy Trip is available to students who will be in either Year 9 or Year 10 in the year of the trip. The focus
of this trip is on language development and cultural extension for students of Italian and art appreciation for Art/Ceramics students.
The trip usually takes place in the September school holidays OF even years (2008, 2010, etc) for approximately 16 days.
CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION:
- Students must be in either Year 9 or Year 10 in the year of the trip.
- All School fees and charges must be up to date;
- All trip payments must be made by the scheduled dates;
- Students must have reputation as to reliability;
- Students must be up to date with all work, behaviour and attendance requirements.
- Attendance is required at all scheduled meetings and activities related to the trip *
- Preference will be given to those students who study at least one of Italian and Art/Ceramics;
- Students and Parents will be required to sign a “Contract for International Travel”, which covers the code of conduct.
NB: The School reserves the right to decide not to accept an application. The School also reserves the right to remove a student from the group prior to the trip.
TRIP COSTS:
It is not possible to provide a definite price until numbers are finalised. Indicative prices g
iven early on are guidelines only. It needs to be noted that some taxes and charges are shown separately by the tour company, so the total cost can appear at first to be lower than the later quoted price. It is suggested that parents allow for a cost ranging from $4,800 to $5,500. Even when numbers are set the price may change due to changes in factors such as exchange rate and fuel prices.
REFUNDS:
The deposit will not be refundable no matter what the reason is for withdrawal from the trip.
TIMELINE
4 June Initial information evening – draft itinerary & estimate cost given
17 July Expression of interest and deposit of $600 required by this date
August Trekset to re-cost trip based on numbers confirmed
4 Sept Trip to be re-costed by this date. Trip details to be released. Confirmation of 
interest is required and deposit of $600 becomes non-refundable at this stage.
